Inventory Synchronization Pipelines

Set up a cron job that calls `manage_stock` to sync inventory counts. The output can be piped directly into logging tools or another service. Use this server's functionality to ensure every SKU count is accurate across your systems, eliminating manual checks.

Product Data Bulk Processing

Need to process a list of product IDs? Script it. Run `get_product` for each ID in a loop, then pipe the resulting JSON array into a file or another command. This makes bulk data cleanup and transformation straightforward from any shell script.

Catalog Metadata Extraction

Build an endpoint that first runs `get_category` to list all groups, then uses `get_brand` to list associated brands. The output is clean, structured data. You can also script a targeted search using `search_products`, limiting the results to specific text or ID patterns.

Common questions about VTEX Catalog MCP in Claude Code

Execute a simple command calling `search_products`. You can specify criteria like brand IDs (`b/ID`) or category IDs directly in your pipeline for fast results from the VTEX Catalog.
Yes. Write a script that calls `manage_stock` first, then uses `save_product`. The entire sequence runs non-interactively, perfect for GitHub Actions or Docker containers.
Absolutely. Run `get_brand` to list brand metadata and `get_category` to map out category structures within the VTEX Catalog for auditing purposes.
Use `get_product` when you know the specific ID, or use `get_sku` if your script only has the Stock Keeping Unit. Either command returns clean JSON for piping.
This MCP Server manages product identifiers (SKUs), brand names, category IDs, and inventory counts. These are critical metadata points you'll want to secure in your CI/CD environment.
