Connect VTEX Orders MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect VTEX Orders to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Process Order Status Updates
Need to move orders from 'ready-for-handling' to 'fulfilled'? Use `search_orders` and then `update_order_status`. Windsurf finds the specific items you need, making sure the status changes correctly across all records. It handles multi-step sequences. Tell it, 'Move all ready orders,' and Cascade runs through the search, filters the list, and executes the necessary status updates without prompting you for each step.
Get Full Order Details or Track Packages
Want to see everything about a specific purchase? You can use `get_order` for full details. If you only need shipping info, just run `get_tracking_info`. Windsurf figures out which tool is best and pulls the necessary data in one go. It’s perfect when your goal is simply to 'Know where this package is.' It checks both the internal order status and external tracking sources for a complete picture.
Handle Invoicing and Cancellations
Closing out an order means more than just updating the status. Use `register_invoice` to log tax details and track numbers, or use `cancel_order` when needed. Windsurf ties these actions together into a single process. This prevents manual errors. You set the goal—like 'Close this sale'—and it autonomously calls both invoicing and cancellation tools in the right sequence.
