How to Use the Wallarm MCP in Google ADK
Automate API defense with Google ADK and the Wallarm MCP Server for enterprise security workflows.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Wallarm MCP to Google ADK
Create your Vinkius account to connect Wallarm to Google ADK and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Monitor all filtering nodes
Need to know where your WAF is running? `list_filtering_nodes` gives you a list of every deployed Wallarm gateway node. It shows you the full deployment scope. This helps agents map out your entire security footprint before making changes.
Identify attack patterns
When an incident happens, `search_security_attacks` groups detected threats by vector—you get clean breakdowns like SQLi or XSS. It tells you *how* the attack was structured. It's much better than just seeing a hit count; you see the pattern of misuse.
Check account status
Your agents can pull core operational data using `get_client_info`. This tool retrieves details on your Wallarm account, subscription level, and feature access. Before running a major security update, you'll want to confirm the current account permissions.

- Python 3.10+ installed
-
google-adkpackage (pip install google-adk) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

Install Google ADK
Run
pip install google-adkto install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via theMcpToolsetclass. - 2
Connect via SSE transport
Use
McpToolset.from_server()withSseServerParamspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Create an LlmAgent
Pass the returned
mcp_toolslist directly toLlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required. - 4
Run with any Gemini model
The agent works with any Gemini model (
gemini-2.0-flash,gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Wallarm tools in your ADK agent.

from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams
# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
connection_params=SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
)
# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
name="Wallarm_agent",
model="gemini-2.0-flash",
instruction="You have access to Wallarm tools via MCP.",
