How to Use the Wing Assistant MCP in Windsurf
Delegate tasks to your virtual assistants and automate workflows with Windsurf.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Wing Assistant MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Wing Assistant to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage Assistants via the MCP Server
You can check which helpers are active using `list_assistants`. Need details on a specific agent? Just call `get_assistant` to pull all their assigned parameters and capabilities. It's also simple to find out what tasks are waiting for work by calling `list_tasks`, giving your Cascade agent the full picture of ongoing projects.
Create and Update Workflows with Wing Assistant
When you set a goal, the system needs to know where to start. Use `create_task` by passing it a title and description, kicking off an entire automated sequence for Windsurf. If that initial plan changes, no sweat. You can adjust what's already running or create something new with `update_task`, keeping your multi-step goal aligned.
Monitor Task Progress with the MCP Server
Watching a long process run is annoying, but you gotta know if it stalled. Use `get_task_status` to pull the current status of any unit of work. This helps your agent decide whether to wait or intervene. If you need an overview of everything assigned, `list_tasks` provides a full manifest of every job currently in the queue.
