Scripting Task Creation with Claude Code

Start by calling `create_task` to make a new task record in Worktile. Your script feeds the required title, description, and scope parameters directly into this tool. You can then use `update_task` later in your pipeline to mark that task as complete or assign it to another team member once other checks pass.

Gathering Project Metadata via Claude Code

A script needs context. Use `list_projects` to retrieve a list of all available projects IDs. From there, run `get_project` on the specific ID you care about. This delivers structured project data for logging or branching logic. Need personnel info? The `list_members` tool provides the required roster data, letting your script check if an assignee exists before proceeding.

Automating Communication with Claude Code MCP Server

The agent executes `send_message` to broadcast status updates or alerts into a channel. This is great for notifying external systems when a process finishes. For task-specific communication, you can list all channels using `list_channels`, ensuring your message lands in the right place before sending.

Your CI/CD script can run `list_projects` to get all available IDs. Then, use `get_project` on the target ID to pull down all the necessary context data for your build step.
Yes. You can run `list_tasks` within a specific project scope, or use `list_task_states` to get the current status of tasks that were created or modified by your script.
The server manages structured organizational data: project details, task records, team member lists, and message content. All these types are passed via standard JSON payloads.
