Connect Zulip MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Zulip to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automating Multi-Step Tasks using the MCP Server
Cline uses `zulip_get_streams` to map out all available channels. It can then pull data from a specific stream's topics with `zulip_get_stream_topics`. This sequence allows Cline to gather structural information about your organization. It builds on this context by running actions, like sending an alert using `zulip_send_message` after gathering the necessary details.
Data Retrieval and User Management in Cline
You can fetch message history through `zulip_get_messages`, getting everything from 'newest' backward. Additionally, it lists every user with `zulip_get_users` and retrieves the agent's own profile data using `zulip_get_own_profile`. Cline uses this raw data to write scripts, generate documentation, or populate local records.
Interactive Zulip Messaging for Cline
Need the agent to communicate? Use `zulip_send_message` to push updates, specifying 'stream' or 'direct.' For ongoing monitoring, it can update user presence with `zulip_set_presence` and subscribe a user to a specific stream using `zulip_subscribe_to_stream`. Cline executes these calls directly in your code, ensuring the interaction is reliable for CI/CD.
