Achieve complex goals in Windsurf by automating Zulip interactions, without manual prompting.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Zulip MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Zulip to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage Message History and Reactions with the MCP Server
You retrieve message history using `zulip_get_messages` and can target specific topics or list all streams via `zulip_get_streams`. This lets your agent build a full context of conversations. After retrieving data, Windsurf executes actions like adding an emoji reaction with `zulip_add_reaction` or updating the user's status using `zulip_set_presence`. It’s perfect for automated reporting.
Discover and Interact with Zulip Streams
Need to know where conversations are happening? The toolset lets you list all available streams through `zulip_get_streams` or get the specific topics within a given stream using `zulip_get_stream_topics`. You can also subscribe your agent to a new stream with `zulip_subscribe_to_stream`. This gives Windsurf a complete map of the Zulip organization, allowing it to target messages or send alerts only where they're needed.
Profile and Messaging Actions for Windsurf
The agent gets basic user information via `zulip_get_own_profile` and can list every person in the organization using `zulip_get_users`. It then sends messages, directing them as either a 'stream' post or a private DM with `zulip_send_message`. It also lets you manage access by calling `zulip_get_streams`, ensuring your agent only interacts within defined boundaries.
