Key Capabilities

Run automated visual checks inside Cline

The automated screenshot tools in PagePixels let Cline build your frontend components and immediately verify their visual layout. By calling `quick_snap_with_options`, the agent captures your live staging site and reviews the layout for rendering bugs. You don't have to write custom testing scripts. Just tell Cline to check the homepage layout, and it will execute `quick_snap` to pull the image directly into your VS Code workspace for instant validation.

Manage screenshot profiles directly from VS Code

The configuration management tools let you keep your testing environment organized by letting Cline manage your PagePixels assets. The agent uses `create_screenshot_config` to save specific viewport sizes and selectors, ensuring your automated test runs remain consistent. If your site structure changes, Cline can call `update_screenshot_config` to adjust your saved profiles, or run `delete_screenshot_config` to prune old configurations that you no longer need.

Test raw HTML rendering using Cline and MCP

The custom HTML rendering tool lets Cline bypass the browser entirely when you're drafting email templates or landing pages. It takes your active file and runs `snap_custom_html` to generate a high-resolution preview of your raw code in seconds. This MCP Server connection lets Cline verify that your inline styles and responsive grids render correctly. You get immediate visual feedback inside your editor without leaving your workspace.

Common questions about PagePixels MCP in Cline

Yes, Cline uses this MCP Server to capture dynamic pages. It calls `quick_snap_with_options` to wait for specific elements to load or inject custom delay parameters before taking the screenshot.
Ask Cline to list your active setups. It will query the API using `list_screenshot_configs` or retrieve a profile using `get_screenshot_config` and display a clean list of your saved targets and viewports directly in the VS Code terminal.
Absolutely. Cline passes your exact width and height requirements to `quick_snap_with_options`, allowing you to test mobile, tablet, and ultra-wide layouts with a single command.
Open the Cline sidebar, click the MCP icon, and add the server configuration. You can also edit your `cline_mcp_settings.json` file directly to register the MCP Server tools.
All raw HTML sent via `snap_custom_html` and the resulting screenshots are handled over encrypted HTTPS connections. PagePixels processes these requests in temporary, isolated browser sandboxes that are wiped immediately after the render is complete.
