Key Capabilities
Develop with ShipStation via MCP Server
The `get_rates` tool allows your agent to fetch live shipping costs, returning JSON data you can directly inject into your TypeScript files. You'll get real rate comparisons right in your editor. This means when your code calls the API, it uses actual carrier response data, not just mock stubs.
Manage Orders for Cursor
Need to process a batch of shipments? Use `list_orders` to get IDs and then iterate through them. You can call `create_label_for_order` within your code loop, making the entire fulfillment workflow live. Your agent generates working code that treats the API response as immediate context for the next block of logic.
Update Account Details
If a client changes their business location or store name, you call `update_store` to write that change back to ShipStation. You can also use `get_customer` to verify the current customer record before making updates. This ensures your application logic always operates on the most accurate, real-time data.
