Key Capabilities

Plan complex public journeys.

Need directions across London or anywhere in the UK? Use `plan_public_transport_journey` to get step-by-step routes. It handles timings, transfers, and different modes of transport for a complete picture. You can also search broadly using `search_transport_places`, finding train stations or bus stops just by name. If you only have a postcode, `get_transport_by_postcode` gets you started instead.

Check real-time departures.

Don't rely on old schedules. To see what's leaving right now, call `get_live_bus_departures`. This gives live times, destinations, and the operator for any UK bus stop. For trains, use `get_live_train_departures` to track departures from major stations like KGX or PAD. It's perfect for checking when your connection is actually running.

Compare fares and schedules.

Planning a trip across different lines? `get_train_fares` lets you compare ticket prices between two specific stations before you book. Beyond pricing, you can pull up the full schedule using `get_bus_route_timetable` for bus routes or get detailed patterns with `get_train_service_details`. It gives you the whole picture of how a service runs.

Yep. If you're working in a specific area, use `get_nearby_bus_stops`. You provide coordinates, and the tool returns all the local bus stops within that radius. This is handy for when your client needs to figure out their starting point.
Absolutely. You can get scheduled timetables for a station using `get_train_station_timetable`. It's the reliable way to know what trains are supposed to run, even if they aren't running right now.
The server handles specific ticket pricing between two stations via `get_train_fares`. It focuses on the cost comparison aspect of inter-station travel, helping you budget your trip before committing.
