Build Failsafe Monitoring Workflows

Create a workflow that checks farm data every hour. The agent calls `get_current_weather` and `get_current_soil`. If a tool fails, Mastra AI's engine automatically retries with exponential backoff. You don't have to write that logic yourself. You can add conditional branches. For example, if `get_accumulated_precipitation` shows a sudden spike, your workflow can trigger another tool to send an alert. This is how you build a set-and-forget monitoring system.

Chain Agro Tools into Complex Sequences

Mastra AI is built for multi-step jobs. A workflow could first `create_polygon` for a new field, then immediately call `get_ndvi_history` to get its baseline vegetation index, and finish by fetching historical weather with `get_historical_weather`. Each step is a tool call. Mastra handles passing the output of one tool (like a polygon ID) as the input to the next. If any step fails, the whole workflow can be configured to halt and notify an admin. This MCP Server gives you the tools to do it.

Add Manual Approval for Critical Actions

Some actions shouldn't be fully automated. For example, before running a costly `search_imagery` query across a huge area, you can use Mastra's `requireToolApproval` feature. The workflow will pause and wait for a human to approve the tool call. Set up Agro MCP in Mastra AI

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18+ and a TypeScript project
  • @mastra/mcp + @mastra/core packages
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

    Run npm install @mastra/mcp @mastra/core plus your preferred model provider (e.g. @ai-sdk/openai).
