Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Agro MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect Agro to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Map farm boundaries via VS Code Copilot
`create_polygon` establishes the geographic limits of a field directly from your editor. You provide the GeoJSON coordinates to Copilot, and the MCP protocol registers the area for continuous API monitoring. Tracking multiple test farms requires zero context switching. Your agent runs `list_polygons` to check active zones, letting you verify state without opening a separate database client.
Pull current weather and UV data
`get_current_weather` fetches live temperature, humidity, and wind metrics for specific coordinates. The MCP Server drops this raw JSON right into your workspace so you can write parsing logic against real payloads. Solar radiation metrics work exactly the same way. Calling `get_current_uvi` returns the immediate ultraviolet index, giving your team accurate numbers to build localized sun exposure alerts.
Analyze historical crop performance
`get_accumulated_precipitation` calculates total rainfall over a specific time window. Copilot grabs these totals via the MCP integration to help you write accurate water stress models for your agronomy application. Temperature accumulation follows suit with `get_accumulated_temperature`. You get precise growing degree days delivered straight to your IDE, eliminating the need to manually scrape historical weather APIs.
Set up Agro MCP in VS Code Copilot
Prerequisites
- VS Code 1.99 or later with GitHub Copilot extension
- Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Open MCP configuration
Open the Command Palette (
