This Agro MCP Server lets Cascade manage field boundaries with `create_polygon` and `list_polygons` without manual intervention. Windsurf reads your coordinates, draws the boundaries, and instantly saves the zone details to your project workspace. While you review the map, Cascade updates your boundary configurations on the fly. It chains `update_polygon` commands to refine coordinates based on your local farm data files.

Automate soil and weather analysis in Windsurf

The MCP Server pulls real-time environmental metrics via `get_current_soil` and `get_current_weather` directly into your Cascade terminal sessions. Windsurf chains these tools to compare current moisture levels against historical baselines. You don't have to trigger each API call yourself. Cascade runs `get_historical_soil` to find historical trends, then generates a clean CSV report inside your workspace.

Pull satellite crop health data autonomously

This server exposes satellite imaging capabilities through `get_ndvi_history` and `search_imagery` to track vegetation health over your fields. Set up Agro MCP in Windsurf

Prerequisites

  • Windsurf IDE installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

    Open MCP configuration

    Click the Cascade assistant icon in the sidebar, then click the hammer icon (🔨) at the top of the panel. Select "Configure" to open ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json.

    Add the Agro MCP

    Paste the JSON snippet shown on the right into the mcpServers object. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

    Refresh MCPs

    Go back to the hammer icon (🔨) in Cascade and click "Refresh". Windsurf will detect the new server. No full restart is needed — the connection is hot-reloaded.

    Verify in Cascade

    Start a new Cascade conversation and ask something like "Show my Agro payment history." If connected, Cascade will call the Agro tools directly. You will see a green dot next to the server name in the MCP panel.
