How to Use the Amplenote MCP in Cline
Cline controls your Amplenote workflow. Build, track, and document without leaving the editor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Amplenote MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Amplenote to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline automates your Amplenote task pipeline
Cline executes your project management tasks by interacting with your notes. It uses `list_tasks` to see what is due and `update_task` to mark items finished once the code is pushed. Hand off the busywork. You tell the agent what needs doing, and it handles the read-write cycle for your tasks automatically.
Navigate Amplenote tags with Cline
Organize your research by letting the agent browse your taxonomy. `list_tags` gives Cline a map of your workspace so it knows exactly where your project data lives. Stop guessing where you filed that design document. The agent scans your tags to locate the right context before it starts writing your implementation code.
Update project specs in Cline
Maintain your documentation as your code evolves. Use `update_note` to append new findings or `create_note` to start a fresh plan whenever the scope shifts. Keep your specs in sync with your logic. The agent updates your markdown files so your documentation never falls behind your actual progress.
