Create and Inspect Users

This tool connects Claude to your Atlassian Crowd instance. With this MCP server, you can ask your agent to create a new account with `create_new_user` directly from the chat prompt. It's faster than navigating the Crowd UI. Need to check someone's status? Use `get_user_details` for a full profile or `list_user_memberships` to see their group access. You can also pull lists of active or inactive accounts with `list_active_users` and `list_inactive_users`.

Query Groups and Memberships

This MCP Server lets Claude query your Atlassian Crowd groups. Ask for a complete dump of all groups with `list_all_groups` or get specifics on one with `get_group_details`. You get the answers right in your chat window. Find out who's in a specific group by telling Claude to use the `list_group_members` tool. This is great for quickly checking permissions or assembling a contact list for a project team without digging through the admin console.

Advanced User Search in Claude Desktop

Stop guessing usernames. The `search_users_by_name` tool lets you find people with just a part of their name. Claude will return a list of matches from your Crowd directory. For more complex lookups, you can give Claude a CQL-like query string for the `search_users_by_attribute` tool. Find users by email domain, department, or any other custom attribute you've configured in Crowd.
