How to Use the Atlassian Crowd MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf manage your Atlassian Crowd directory directly from your codebase.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Atlassian Crowd MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Atlassian Crowd to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Automated user and group management
Cascade handles user provisioning without you switching tabs. It uses `create_new_user` to onboard team members directly from your IDE. Windsurf reads your repo context to decide when a new identity is needed. It executes the call and updates your configuration files instantly.
Query directory state within Windsurf
You get instant visibility into your security groups using `list_all_groups`. It pulls the data straight into your chat session. Checking memberships becomes a background task. Your agent calls `list_user_memberships` to verify access levels while you focus on writing code.
Search Atlassian Crowd data
Finding specific accounts is trivial with `search_users_by_name`. Just ask your agent to find a colleague by their handle. It performs the lookup and returns the exact profile details. If you need attributes, `get_user_details` pulls the full record for your review.
