How to Use the Atlassian Crowd MCP in Cline
Cline controls your Atlassian Crowd directory to automate access and identity tasks.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Atlassian Crowd MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Atlassian Crowd to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline manages directory access
Cline uses `list_group_members` to audit your team access levels. It identifies who belongs to which security group in seconds. This MCP server allows the agent to pull live directory data for your tasks. You save time by letting the agent query the API instead of manual lookups.
Search users in Atlassian Crowd
Use `search_users_by_attribute` to find accounts based on specific criteria. Cline executes this request and parses the output for your project. It removes the need to log into a separate admin portal. You stay inside VS Code while the agent does the heavy lifting.
Audit inactive accounts
Run `list_inactive_users` to see which accounts need attention. Cline reports the findings directly in your chat sidebar. It helps you keep your directory clean. The agent identifies disabled users so you can make informed decisions about your environment.
