Connect Bear MCP to Claude Code
Create your Vinkius account to connect Bear to Claude Code and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Query Notes from the CLI
Your terminal client uses the `search_notes` and `open_note` tools to extract markdown content straight into your shell session. Running a pipeline that needs historical context triggers the agent to search your Bear app notes. It grabs the exact documentation you requested without opening a graphical interface. Finding tagged server configs is immediate. The `open_tag` tool lists all explicit notes matching a specific label. Your headless script pulls the necessary deployment steps and pipes them into your next command.
Generate Native Docs Headlessly
The `create_note` and `add_text` tools allow your agent to draft documentation as part of your CI/CD workflow. When a deployment script finishes, Claude Code creates a new native Bear note with the run logs. It formats the output as markdown and saves it automatically. Appending status updates takes seconds. You instruct the CLI to add text to an existing incident report. The agent prepends the latest server metrics to the top of the note.
Automate Bear MCP Server Taxonomy
Managing your knowledge base structure happens through the `list_tags`, `rename_tag`, and `delete_tag` tools. Your terminal agent retrieves the exact global tag nesting to audit your documentation. It renames tags across all mapped notes to match your new infrastructure naming conventions. Archiving old runbooks requires zero manual clicks. Claude Code executes `archive_note` or `trash_note` to clear out deprecated procedures. Your documentation stays clean entirely through automated shell commands.
