Script BugHerd updates using Claude Code CLI
`update_task` is the core MCP tool Claude Code uses to modify ticket statuses during your terminal sessions. You can pipe script outputs or build logs directly into the CLI to update tickets instantly. This is perfect for post-deploy scripts or CI/CD pipelines where you need to mark issues as resolved. Your terminal agent handles the API calls without requiring you to open a browser.
Query BugHerd boards from your terminal sessions
`list_tasks` gives Claude Code the ability to search and filter your BugHerd issues right from your shell. You can ask your CLI agent for a list of high-priority bugs without leaving your active SSH session. It uses `get_project` to narrow down the search to a specific board. This keeps your terminal clean and lets you focus on the code that needs fixing.
Comment on BugHerd tasks using Claude Code
`add_comment` allows Claude Code to post terminal logs and deployment outputs directly to BugHerd cards. When a server migration or script finishes, the CLI agent writes the confirmation back to the task. It pulls the existing thread history using `list_comments` to ensure it doesn't duplicate logs. Your team gets instant, automated updates on the exact task they are tracking.
