How to Use the BugHerd MCP in Cursor
Inject live BugHerd task data into your code files using Cursor Agent mode.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect BugHerd MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect BugHerd to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Sync BugHerd tasks with Cursor
Feed real-time task data directly into your editor. When you run `list_tasks` or `get_task`, the output lands right in your context window for the agent to read. This means the code you write is based on current requirements. You don't have to copy-paste snippets or manually verify task IDs anymore.
Update BugHerd records from Cursor
Finish a bug fix and close the loop without leaving your IDE. Use `update_task` to mark items as complete or shift priorities based on your current coding progress. The agent handles the API calls while you focus on the logic. It’s a clean way to keep your project management status current while you're deep in the implementation.
Query project comments in Cursor
Need to know the backstory of a specific bug? Use `list_comments` to pull the thread into your active session. Your agent can read these comments to understand edge cases or previous failed attempts. It turns historical feedback into immediate development context.
