Auto-triage BugHerd issues with Windsurf Cascade
`list_tasks` is the tool Windsurf uses to pull your active BugHerd issues directly into Cascade's planning engine over this MCP connection. When you tell Cascade to fix a bug, it runs this tool to find the corresponding card, reads the details, and maps out the exact code changes needed. You don't need to manually copy task IDs back and forth. Cascade updates the issue status using `update_task` the second it finishes writing and verifying the fix in your workspace.
Post Windsurf context directly to BugHerd comments
`add_comment` lets Cascade write code explanations and deployment notes right back to your BugHerd task. Instead of switching to your browser to tell your QA team that a bug is ready for testing, your AI agent handles the update for you. It reads the existing thread using `list_comments` to make sure it doesn't repeat information. This keeps your external stakeholders updated without you typing a single status report.
Spawn BugHerd tasks from your Windsurf terminal
`create_task` is the tool that lets Cascade file new tickets in your BugHerd projects when it spots code anomalies. If a test fails during a local run, the agent instantly documents the failure and uploads the details to your board. It uses `list_projects` first to find the correct board ID. This keeps your backlog organized and ensures your team sees technical debt as soon as Cascade discovers it.
