Code against real BugHerd tasks in Cursor
The `get_task` tool pulls exact BugHerd bug descriptions and user metadata directly into your Cursor editor. Instead of copying and pasting bug reports, your Cursor agent reads the actual ticket details to understand what needs fixing. The agent then writes the code to fix the bug using the live API context. This means you write code against actual user reports rather than outdated, manual notes.
Update BugHerd statuses directly from the Cursor MCP Server
The `update_task` tool lets your Cursor agent mark bugs as resolved the moment you save your code. Once the agent verifies the fix in your local workspace, it changes the BugHerd ticket status without you switching applications. This tight integration between your editor and this MCP Server ensures your project board stays updated in real time. You don't have to remember to close tickets manually after a git push.
Map codebases to BugHerd projects instantly
The `list_projects` tool lets your agent scan your active BugHerd projects to find the one that matches your current Cursor workspace. Once matched, the agent uses `list_tasks` to fetch the active backlog for your specific repository. This allows you to ask Cursor which bugs in the codebase you should tackle next. The agent lists the issues, pulls up the details, and gets to work on the files.
