How to Use the BugHerd MCP in Windsurf
Let Windsurf manage your feedback loop by connecting directly to your BugHerd projects.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect BugHerd MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect BugHerd to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Windsurf handles your project feedback
Cascade can pull your entire list of active issues using `list_tasks` without leaving the editor. It scans the current state of your backlog so you don't have to switch tabs to see what's broken. Once the agent identifies a priority item, it uses `get_task` to dig into the details. This keeps your coding flow moving because the data is already in the context window.
Create BugHerd tasks from your editor
Stop copying notes into a browser window. Use `create_task` to push bug reports directly from your code comments or terminal output into the right project. Windsurf chains these calls to ensure your issue tracking stays synced with your actual work. It captures the context of your current file and sends it straight to the tracker.
Manage organization data in Windsurf
Run `get_organization_info` to verify you are working in the correct workspace. This MCP Server ensures your agent has the right environment settings before it starts touching your tickets. It also lets you audit your team with `list_users`. You'll know exactly who is assigned to each task without hunting through web dashboards.
