Build modpack managers and gaming tools with live CurseForge data inside Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect CurseForge MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect CurseForge to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate accurate modding code in Cursor
Write code that interacts with the CurseForge API without relying on outdated documentation. This MCP toolset uses `get_game` and `list_games` to inspect valid game targets and write precise integration scripts. Instead of guessing JSON structures, your agent pulls live schemas using `list_categories` to write perfect mod-filtering code on your first try.
Debug local mod directories using the MCP Server
Let your Cursor agent inspect your local modpack folders and match them against online databases. It runs `get_fingerprints_matches` to identify local files and automatically draft update scripts. If you have custom or renamed jars, the agent uses `get_fingerprints_matches_fuzzy` to find the closest match, then writes code to download the correct updates.
Automate modpack manifest generation
Building a CurseForge modpack manifest requires precise file IDs and project IDs. This MCP setup calls `get_mods_batch` and `get_files_batch` to grab this data and write your manifest.json automatically. You can even have the agent fetch the latest changelogs using `get_mod_file_changelog` to auto-generate release notes for your users.
