Connect Datadog MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Datadog to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Build components using live Datadog metric data
The `query_metrics` tool fetches raw time-series data so Cline can write dashboard components with actual production numbers. Cline calls this tool to retrieve CPU or memory metrics, then writes the React code to render the charts in your local workspace. You do not need to mock API payloads or write fake JSON structures. Cline writes the component, imports the fetched data, and shows you the final diff in VS Code.
Let Cline manage your infrastructure alerts
The `list_monitors` tool returns the current operational status of your alerts so Cline can diagnose failing services. Once Cline identifies a warning status, it uses `get_monitor` to read the threshold values and evaluate if your local code changes will resolve the issue. If Cline detects that a test run fixes the underlying problem, it can write a script to confirm the fix against your remote infrastructure. This keeps your alerting state and local codebase perfectly aligned.
Audit your active hosts using this MCP Server
The `list_hosts` tool fetches metadata for all cloud instances, allowing Cline to audit your infrastructure directly inside VS Code. Cline reads the active tags and agent versions to identify hosts running outdated packages. Cline then writes a patch script to update the target instances and prepares a git commit for your review. The entire audit and remediation workflow happens without you leaving the editor.
