How to Use the Datadog MCP in Cursor
Inject live Datadog data into your Cursor codebase to build fixes based on real production telemetry.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Datadog MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Datadog to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Analyze production metrics inside Cursor
Feed live performance data into your editor by using `query_metrics` to pull time-series figures. Your agent uses this context to write code that addresses actual bottlenecks. Stop guessing why a service is slow. Cursor reads the output from your monitoring tools to verify if your code changes improve the reported latency.
Debug logs directly within Cursor
Search through your application history by invoking `search_logs` without switching windows. You can pipe these log entries straight into your chat to help the agent spot stack traces. This workflow keeps you in the zone. You get the evidence you need to squash bugs without leaving your development environment.
Monitor system status from Cursor
Check the health of your hosts using `list_hosts` and `list_monitors` while you write your deployment scripts. Your agent stays informed about current alerts or downtime schedules. This keeps your code aware of its environment. You'll know immediately if an infrastructure issue is blocking your progress.
