Coordinate Eventmix event creation with AutoGen agents

Let your agents argue over the best date and title before writing to the database. A marketing agent and a logistics agent can debate schedule constraints before running `create_new_event`. Once they agree, the action agent sets up the event. If they need to tweak details later, they negotiate the changes and execute `update_event_settings` automatically.

Run multi-agent RSVP audits using this MCP Server

Stop manually checking who registered. You can set up a coordinator agent to fetch the list via `list_event_attendees` while a quality agent flags missing data. They work together to resolve issues. If an attendee is missing a code, the coordinator agent triggers `send_registration_code` to fix the problem without your intervention.

Analyze Eventmix performance metrics with AutoGen

Get deep insights into your event's success. One agent pulls data via `get_event_usage_analytics` while another compares it against historical benchmarks. They discuss the results to find out why certain sessions underperformed. By pulling the schedule with `get_event_schedule`, they map attendee drops to specific speakers.

Setup guide

Set up Eventmix MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Eventmix tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Eventmix_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Eventmix data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

Common questions about Eventmix MCP in AutoGen

Register the MCP Server tools using the mcp_server_tools adapter. Pass the resulting tool list to your AssistantAgent during setup.
Yes. If the agents decide an event is redundant, they can use `remove_virtual_event` to clean it up, provided you grant them that tool.
When `submit_event_rsvp` fails, the execution agent shares the error with the group. The coordinator agent then checks the connection using `check_api_connectivity`.
Absolutely. You can assign `list_virtual_events` to one agent while another handles user profiles with `get_current_user_profile` in parallel.
The Vinkius MCP runtime isolates all execution blocks. Your attendee emails and registration codes are never exposed to external LLM providers during the multi-agent debate.
