How to Use the Eventmix MCP in CrewAI
Deploy specialized autonomous agent teams to manage your Eventmix MCP operations using CrewAI.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Eventmix MCP to CrewAI
Create your Vinkius account to connect Eventmix to CrewAI and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Assign Specialized Roles for Event Management
`create_new_event` and `update_event_settings` belong to your Coordinator agent, while an Analyst agent handles `get_event_usage_analytics`. CrewAI allows you to distribute these tools across a team of specialized workers. Each model focuses entirely on its specific domain. Shared memory keeps the crew aligned. When the Coordinator books a new meetup, the Analyst immediately sees the updated schedule. They collaborate to optimize the agenda without you writing glue code.
Filter Eventmix MCP Server Access
`list_event_attendees` and `send_registration_code` can be restricted to specific agents using `tool_filter`. You don't have to expose the entire API surface to every member of the crew. A public-facing Support agent gets read-only access to schedules. The `MCPServerHTTP` class handles this selective exposure. You define exactly which operations the moderator agent can trigger. This prevents a rogue research agent from accidentally deleting a live conference.
Monitor Registrations Autonomously
`list_virtual_events` and `get_event_details` feed continuous data into your monitoring agents. They poll the endpoints to track RSVP counts leading up to the conference. If numbers fall behind projections, the system escalates the issue. Sequential execution ensures logical workflows. The monitor checks the stats, passes the report to a strategy agent, and that agent drafts a promotional email. The entire sequence runs independently.
Set up Eventmix MCP in CrewAI
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
crewaipackage (pip install crewai) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install CrewAI
Run
pip install crewaito install the framework. MCP support is built-in via themcpsparameter. - 2
Add the MCP URL to your agent
Pass your Vinkius endpoint directly to the
mcpslist. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. CrewAI handles tool discovery and caching automatically. - 3
Kick off your crew
Create a
Crewwith your agent and tasks. Callcrew.kickoff()— the agent will automatically invoke Eventmix tools as needed.
from crewai import Agent, Task, Crew
agent = Agent(
role="Eventmix Analyst",
goal="Access and analyze Eventmix data via MCP.",
backstory="Expert analyst with direct Eventmix access.",
mcps=[
"https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
],
)
task = Task(
description="List recent Eventmix transactions",
agent=agent,
expected_output="A summary of recent activity",
)
crew = Crew(agents=[agent], tasks=[task])
result = crew.kickoff()
print(result) Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
crewai+crewai-toolspackages - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install dependencies
Run
pip install crewai crewai-tools. TheMCPServerAdapterhandles lifecycle management and tool conversion. - 2
Connect with MCPServerAdapter
Use
MCPServerAdapteras a context manager withSseServerParameterspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. The adapter automatically manages connection lifecycle. - 3
Assign tools and run
Pass the returned
mcp_toolsto your agent'stoolsparameter. The adapter converts MCP tools to nativeBaseToolobjects compatible with all CrewAI agents.
