Build multi-step event setup chains with LangChain

Hand over the tedious setup tasks to your agent. When you kick off a new campaign, the agent runs `create_new_event` to get the ball rolling, then immediately updates the details using `update_event_settings` based on your project files. It links these actions into a single, reliable chain. You don't have to write glue code for every step. The agent handles the sequential logic, making sure one action's output feeds directly into the next. If you need to make sure the platform is up before starting, the chain can trigger `check_api_connectivity` first.

Trace attendee communication in LangSmith

Keep tabs on every ticket holder without leaving your terminal. Your agent can pull the current roster with `list_event_attendees` and immediately run `send_registration_code` for anyone missing their access pass. Because this runs inside LangChain, every single step gets logged in LangSmith. You see exactly when `send_registration_code` was triggered and what payload it used. No more guessing why an invite failed or where a chain broke down.

Run autonomous reporting agents on Eventmix data

Stop exporting CSVs to check on your ticket sales. Build a ReAct agent that calls `get_event_usage_analytics` to grab live metrics, then formats the numbers into a clean Slack update. Start by pulling the event list via `list_virtual_events` to find active campaigns. Then, match sales spikes with specific sessions by pulling the schedule with `get_event_schedule`.

Setup guide

Set up Eventmix MCP in LangChain

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • langchain-mcp-adapters + langgraph packages
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install dependencies

    Run pip install langchain-mcp-adapters langgraph langchain-openai. The MCP adapters package converts MCP tools into native LangChain BaseTool objects.

  2. 2

    Connect via HTTP transport

    Use MultiServerMCPClient with "transport": "http" pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create a ReAct agent

    Pass the discovered tools to create_react_agent() from LangGraph. The agent automatically routes Eventmix tool calls through the MCP protocol.

  4. 4

    Run with any LLM

    Swap ChatOpenAI for ChatAnthropic, ChatGoogleGenerativeAI, or any LangChain-compatible model. The MCP tools work identically across all providers.

agent.py
from langchain_mcp_adapters.client import MultiServerMCPClient
from langgraph.prebuilt import create_react_agent
from langchain_openai import ChatOpenAI

async with MultiServerMCPClient({
    "eventmix-mcp": {
        "transport": "http",
        "url": "https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp",
    }
}) as client:
    tools = client.get_tools()

    agent = create_react_agent(
        ChatOpenAI(model="gpt-4o"),
        tools,
    )
    result = await agent.ainvoke({
        "messages": "List recent Eventmix transactions"
    })
    print(result["messages"][-1].content)

Common questions about Eventmix MCP in LangChain

Install the adapter package first. Use MultiServerMCPClient pointing to the Vinkius endpoint, pull the tools, and pass them to your agent constructor.
Yes. You can build a chain that calls `list_virtual_events` to identify expired sessions and then triggers `remove_virtual_event` to clean up your dashboard.
It captures the exact inputs and outputs of every tool call. You can inspect the payload of `submit_event_rsvp` or check if `get_current_user_profile` returned the correct organization ID.
Absolutely. You can write a chain that queries your internal database for VIPs, then uses `submit_event_rsvp` to register them automatically on the platform.
Your attendee emails and registration codes are fully sandboxed. The Vinkius MCP Server runs in an isolated V8 container, ensuring no credentials or attendee contact info leak during execution.
