How to Use the Google Maps MCP in Cursor
Inject live geographic context into your code with the Google Maps MCP Server for Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Google Maps MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Google Maps to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Geocode addresses directly in Cursor
Feed raw addresses into your code by using the `geocode` tool. It converts text into machine-readable coordinates that your application can use immediately. This keeps your code clean and your data accurate. You stop writing manual conversion logic and let the agent handle the coordinate retrieval.
Query venues with Google Maps in Cursor
Search for specific spots or businesses using `place_search`. If you need more context, `place_details` retrieves the phone number and opening status of any location. This gives you live data to test your features. You aren't working with stale mock objects anymore.
Run route calculations via Cursor MCP Server
Use the `directions` tool to calculate travel distance and time in your scripts. It returns the data you need to build routing logic. You can now test your dispatch algorithms with real data. It makes building location-aware software faster and more reliable.
