Monitor Hiver in Your CI/CD Pipeline

Make Hiver status a required check in your deployment process. A simple command is all you need. In your GitHub Action or Jenkins job, just run `claude mcp exec hiver-mcp get_api_status`. If the command fails, the pipeline stops. It’s a dead-simple way to make sure your helpdesk is online before you push new code.

Bulk-Update Tickets from a Script

Archiving hundreds of old tickets by hand is a nightmare. Do it in seconds with a shell script. This is what a real MCP server integration looks like. Write a script that calls `claude mcp exec hiver-mcp list_inbox_conversations --status=closed` and pipe the resulting JSON through `jq` to extract thread IDs. Then, a simple `xargs` command can call `update_thread_status` on each ID to archive them.

Claude Code Terminal-Based Reporting

Get quick stats without a GUI. You can pull any data from Hiver and format it however you want, right in your terminal. For example, get a list of all team members and their inboxes. Chain `claude mcp exec hiver-mcp list_shared_inboxes` and `list_inbox_members` in a script, and pipe the output to a text file or another program for processing.

Common questions about Hiver MCP in Claude Code

Use the `search_team_members` tool. Run `claude mcp exec hiver-mcp search_team_members --query="John Doe"`. It will return the user's ID, which you can then use for assigning conversations.
Yes. You can list all tags in an inbox with `list_inbox_tags` or find a specific tag with `search_tags_by_name`. This lets you script operations like automatically tagging certain Hiver conversations.
Run `claude mcp add --transport http hiver-mcp -- `. This single command adds the Hiver MCP server to your configuration. You can verify it's working with `claude mcp exec hiver-mcp test_hiver_auth`.
This MCP server handles the authentication and boilerplate for you. You get simple, named tools that you can call from Claude Code without writing any HTTP request code, managing tokens, or reading complex API docs.
When you run a command, data like email thread content from `get_conversation_details` or team member names from `list_inbox_members` passes through Vinkius's zero-trust infrastructure. The data is streamed, processed, and never stored, with each request handled in a fresh, ephemeral environment.
