Headless circuit execution with Claude Code

Pipe your quantum logic through the terminal. Use `submit_job` to trigger experiments as part of your existing build scripts. It returns the job ID immediately. You can then script the wait time until the results are ready for processing.

Pipeline integration for IBM Quantum

Claude Code handles complex automation in your shell. It checks `list_jobs` to verify completion before moving to the next step in your pipeline. This allows for automated regression testing of quantum circuits. If a job fails, the script catches the output from `get_job_details`.

Query providers via Claude Code

List your available infrastructure with a single command. The agent uses `list_providers` to map out your access levels across different systems. It keeps your environment clean. You don't need to manage manual connections when the MCP server tracks everything for you.

Setup guide

Set up IBM Quantum MCP in Claude Code

Prerequisites

  • Claude Code CLI installed (npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Run the add command

Open your terminal and run the command shown on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com. Use --scope user to make it available across all projects.

  2. 2

    Verify the connection

Start a Claude Code session and type /mcp to list connected servers. You should see ibm-quantum-mcp with a green status indicator.

  3. 3

    Start using tools

Ask Claude Code something like "Check my latest IBM Quantum transactions." It will automatically discover and invoke the available IBM Quantum tools.

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http ibm-quantum-mcp https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp

Common questions about IBM Quantum MCP in Claude Code

Run the command 'claude mcp add --transport http' followed by the server details. Ensure your environment variable for the API token is set.
Yes. You can write a cron job or shell script that calls `cancel_job` if a specific timeout threshold is exceeded.
Data is processed entirely in memory during the execution of your scripts. No persistent logs of your quantum data are kept by the MCP server.
Use 'claude mcp list' to see all registered tools. If the IBM tools appear in your terminal, the server is successfully authenticated.
Only if you redirect the output to a file. The server itself retrieves the data via `get_job_result` but does not store your measurement payloads.
