Connect iFax MCP to Claude Desktop
Create your Vinkius account to connect iFax to Claude Desktop and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Send faxes straight from Claude Desktop chats
Use the `send_fax` tool to transmit PDF files directly from your local directory through Claude Desktop. You just drag a PDF into your chat, and your agent converts it to base64 to fire it off immediately. No physical fax machine or separate web portal needed. If a transmission fails, you don't have to start over. Run `resend_fax` to try again with the same metadata, keeping your document workflow entirely within the desktop application interface.
Track document delivery in real time
Use the `get_fax_status` tool to check the exact transmission state of any outgoing document from your desktop client. You get instant updates on whether your document is pending, sent, or failed. For longer logs, ask Claude Desktop to run `list_faxes` to view your entire history of sent documents. This lets your agent analyze past deliveries right inside the chat window without forcing you to log into a separate dashboard.
Download incoming files via this MCP Server
Use the `download_fax` tool to pull incoming documents directly onto your local machine through the Claude Desktop app. This MCP connection lets your agent save files to your specified folder, making them ready for immediate local review. If you notice an error in a queued transmission, run `cancel_fax` to stop it before it goes out. Managing your inbound and outbound queue happens through a single stdio connection on your computer.
