End-to-End Fax Automation inside Cline
The `send_fax` tool transmits your local workspace files as base64-encoded PDF payloads. Cline reads your local code, extracts the target document, and passes the metadata directly to the transmission API. Instead of just talking about it, Cline writes the logic to prepare your files and executes the transmission. This turns your workspace into an active outbound fax terminal without leaving VS Code.
Queue Management with this MCP Server
The `list_faxes` tool pulls your complete outbound transmission history directly into the Cline sidebar. Cline parses this list to identify stuck transmissions or check delivery receipts for your records. When Cline finds a stalled job, it invokes `cancel_fax` to terminate the process immediately. It keeps your outbound queue clean and prevents duplicate charges on your account.
Automated Delivery Verification and Retries
The `get_fax_status` tool provides real-time updates on your pending outbound documents. Cline monitors these updates, waiting for the destination machine to pick up and acknowledge the transmission. If the receiving line is busy, Cline runs `resend_fax` to queue the document for another attempt through the MCP Server. You don't have to manually check status pages or trigger retries yourself.
