Headless Distance Calculations

`get_port_distance` calculates the exact nautical mileage between two harbors directly in your command line. You can pipe a list of origin and destination pairs into Claude Code, and it runs the calculations headlessly to output a clean JSON array of distances. This is perfect for batch processing shipping manifests. Trigger the script, let the agent crunch the numbers, and watch the results feed right into your downstream reporting tools.

Terminal MCP Server Traffic Checks

`get_port_vessel_traffic` pulls live ship counts into your terminal so you can monitor port congestion via cron jobs. A simple shell script can wake up every hour, ask Claude Code to check the traffic in Shanghai, and alert you if the number exceeds your threshold. Before making the heavy queries, the agent automatically hits `check_api_status` to ensure the upstream service is actually awake. You get reliable, automated monitoring without ever opening a browser.

Automated Route Planning

`search_maritime_routes` exposes ocean shipping lanes to your CI/CD pipelines. If your logistics application needs to verify valid paths during a build step, you can have the agent query the routes and cross-reference them against `get_nautical_ports` to ensure the destinations are active. It also pulls `list_nautical_charts` to confirm map availability for the journey. Everything runs in the background, keeping your automated deployments fast and data-rich.
