How to Use the NavAPI MCP in Cursor
Connect NavAPI to Cursor to inject live maritime data into your codebase while you write.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect NavAPI MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect NavAPI to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Live port data in Cursor
Call `get_port_vessel_traffic` from your editor to pull live stats into your current file. The AI reads the output and writes your logic based on real numbers. Stop writing mock data. Use live API responses to test your maritime code.
Route mapping via NavAPI
Use `search_maritime_routes` to find valid paths directly from your code. Cursor executes the request and writes the route logic for you. Your agent builds the integration using the actual tool output. It’s the fastest way to implement navigation features.
Verify status with NavAPI
Run `check_api_status` to confirm your connection is healthy before executing heavy requests. You'll know immediately if the service is ready. This keeps your development loop tight. No surprises when you run your code.
