Claude Code uses registry metadata

Connect the server to your terminal session to let Claude Code query the registry. It uses `get_registry_meta` to verify the state of the NPM instance. This is useful for shell scripts that need to check if the registry is online before starting a build. Claude Code handles the output as raw JSON.

Automated version checks for Claude Code

Claude Code can perform dependency verification in your CI/CD pipeline using `get_package_version`. It identifies exact package builds from the registry. This ensures your production builds use verified versions. Claude Code pipes the result into your next pipeline step without any GUI interaction.

Search packages via CLI with Claude Code

Run `search_packages` from your terminal to find dependencies based on specific qualifiers. Claude Code parses the list and selects the right match. It works perfectly in headless environments. You get the data you need for your automation scripts without opening a browser.
