Octoparse MCP Server Terminal Control

Claude Code lets you manage cloud crawlers without leaving your shell. Run a simple command, and this MCP server uses `list_tasks` to list your active crawlers right in stdout. You can immediately trigger a run using `start_task` and pipe the output to other CLI utilities for instant analysis.

Headless CI/CD Scraping Pipelines

Integrate web scraping into your deployment workflows. Claude Code can use `get_token` to authenticate and run `get_task_status` as part of a post-deploy verification script. If a scraper fails during a pipeline run, Claude Code can automatically trigger `stop_task` to prevent wasting resources and log the error to stderr.

Command-Line Data Extraction and Purging

Extract scraped web data and save it straight to local JSON files. Claude Code calls `get_task_data` to stream the records directly into your terminal environment. To keep your cloud storage tidy, Claude Code can immediately run `clear_task_data` to purge testing footprints after a successful local export.

Common questions about Octoparse MCP in Claude Code

Run the `claude mcp add` command in your terminal specifying the server name and transport type. This registers the scraper tools directly into your Claude Code CLI environment.
Yes, you can pipe Claude Code outputs to automate runs. It can run `start_task` and poll `get_task_status` entirely from a headless shell script.
Claude Code streams the scraped web data using `get_task_data` with offset pagination. This prevents terminal buffer overflows and lets you safely redirect large outputs to a file.
Yes, you can tell Claude Code to update your crawler settings. It will use `update_task_params` to change URLs or keywords without needing the desktop app.
Yes, your credentials and scraped web data are secure. The MCP transport runs locally on your machine, ensuring that your OAuth tokens retrieved via `get_token` are never exposed over the internet.
