How to Use the Octoparse MCP in Cursor
Run Octoparse cloud crawlers and inject live scraped data directly into your active Cursor codebase.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Octoparse MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Octoparse to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject Live Web Data into Cursor Files
The `get_task_data` tool pulls fresh scraped records directly into your Cursor active context using this MCP Server. Once the data is in your workspace, Cursor can write parser scripts or database seeders based on the exact structure returned by your cloud scraper.
Control Scraping Runs in Cursor
The `start_task` and `stop_task` tools let you trigger cloud extraction tasks directly from Cursor's Agent mode. The agent monitors the run with `get_task_status` and lets you know when the dataset is ready. You can write code while the cloud handles the heavy lifting.
Configure Scraper Parameters from the Editor
The `update_task_params` tool lets you update your crawler configurations without opening the separate scraper app. You can locate your scrapers using `list_tasks` and filter them by folder with `list_task_groups`. This keeps your MCP development environment synchronized with your active cloud tasks.
