Write code to read ToolJet database tables

Cline executes `query_table` calls directly in your codebase. You tell it which table you need data from, and the agent writes the necessary API integration code to fetch the results. The output is ready for consumption.

Programmatically insert records into ToolJet databases

When your component needs to save user input or log a transaction, use `insert_row`. Cline handles generating the function calls needed to push data into the correct table. It makes writing persistence layers simple.

Automate workflows via webhook triggers

For backend logic that doesn't belong in a frontend component, use `trigger_workflow`. Cline can write a function that hits this endpoint, effectively starting an entire business process managed by ToolJet. This is perfect for testing side effects.

Common questions about ToolJet MCP in Cline

You use the `query_table` tool within your component's test suite. Cline executes this, ensuring that your code correctly handles the structured data returned from the ToolJet MCP Server.
Yes. You can combine reading data using `query_table` and then writing back new information by calling `insert_row`. This completes the read-modify-write cycle right in your IDE agent.
You trigger any existing workflow using `trigger_workflow`. You just need to know the endpoint, and Cline writes the code to send that webhook payload.
The current setup is focused on managing a single ToolJet database. All your table interactions—reading or writing—happen through the defined tools like `query_table`.
This MCP Server touches structured relational data within the ToolJet database. This includes table names and specific field values when you use `insert_row` or `query_table`.
