Build Reports using the MCP Server in Cline
Cline lets you tell it to audit intellectual property, and it builds the components for you. You can prompt it to search patents by running `search_patents`. It fetches that data via the USPTO API and then writes a component showing the results. It’s end-to-end. Need to know what classes are available? Just ask Cline to run `list_patent_classes`, and it handles importing that structure into your code base.
Get Patent Details in Cline
You can tell Cline to grab specific patent information. Simply request the use of `get_patent_details` by providing a number, and it writes the necessary API calls and tests for you. This means if you find a promising IP asset, Cline doesn't just show you the data; it stages the code required to manage that data in your project structure.
Run Trademark Searches using USPTO API with Cline
Need to check US trademarks? Use `search_trademarks` directly within a Cline task. It executes the search against the USPTO API and handles the data parsing. Once the list comes back, you can write code that iterates over those results—all without leaving the VS Code environment.
