Inject live patent data into your function
When you write code, use the `search_patents` tool to get current US patent results. The AI agent then generates working Python or Javascript that uses these real API responses directly in your code block. This means your script doesn't rely on mock data; it gets live context from the USPTO API and you can see exactly how the result set fits into your program’s logic.
Automate IP checks mid-coding
The `get_trademark_details` tool lets you check a specific trademark serial number right while you're writing code. You can prompt the agent, and it will fill in the function body with real data retrieved from the USPTO API. This flow keeps your context locked on the editor; you never have to switch away from Cursor to verify an IP asset.
Structure searches using classification codes
Start by calling `list_patent_classes` to understand the available patent codes. Then, feed those specific classes into a targeted `search_patents` call. The AI generates the structured code needed for this complex multi-step process. This capability is crucial when you need to narrow down a search beyond just keywords, making your IP audits much more precise.
