Debating Project Deletion and Archiving

Need to decide if a project should be deleted? You set up two agents: one 'Risk Assessor' that calls `get_engagement_statistics` and another 'Cleanup Agent' that suggests using `delete_wistia_project`. They debate the risk vs. reward. The final decision is based on consensus, not just a single API call.

Negotiating Content Ingestion Strategy with MCP Server

You can use multiple agents to argue over how content should be uploaded. One agent might suggest `upload_video_via_url` using the shortest name, while another insists on including a specific date in the metadata via `update_media_metadata`. The resulting plan is a negotiation that considers all constraints.

Auditing and Reviewing Wistia Assets

Multiple agents can collaborate to audit your entire account. One agent lists everything (`list_wistia_medias`), another checks the details against best practices (`get_media_details`), and a third suggests improvements using `update_media_metadata`. The system converges on an actionable, multi-step plan for cleanup.

Setup guide

Set up Wistia MCP in AutoGen

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • autogen-ext[mcp] package
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install AutoGen with MCP

    Run pip install "autogen-ext[mcp]" autogen-agentchat. The MCP extension includes mcp_server_tools for stateless tool access.

  2. 2

    Fetch tools from the MCP

    Call mcp_server_tools(SseServerParams(url=...)) with your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Run your agent

    Pass the tools to AssistantAgent and call agent.run(). The agent invokes Wistia tools and returns structured results.

agent.py
from autogen_ext.tools.mcp import SseServerParams, mcp_server_tools
from autogen_agentchat.agents import AssistantAgent
from autogen_ext.models.openai import OpenAIChatCompletionClient

server_params = SseServerParams(
    url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)

tools = await mcp_server_tools(server_params)

agent = AssistantAgent(
    name="Wistia_assistant",
    model_client=OpenAIChatCompletionClient(model="gpt-4o"),
    tools=tools,
)

result = await agent.run("List recent Wistia data")
print(result.messages[-1].content)

It can retrieve project lists (`list_wistia_projects`), check project contents, and analyze assets using `get_project_details` to inform the debate between agents.
Yes. You can set up agents to sequentially list all media, check their status, and then run bulk updates or deletions based on a consensus policy you define.
