Automating Content Creation via MCP Server

Use `create_new_post` to programmatically generate and publish a blog entry. This is perfect for running scheduled content pipelines or generating boilerplate articles for WordPress. You can also manage categories with `list_blog_categories`. Knowing the existing taxonomy allows your scripts to correctly tag new posts.

Bulk Data Retrieval from WordPress

Need a list of every post? Pipe the output of `list_blog_posts` into another tool for processing. You can also run `get_post_details` against specific IDs to grab content payloads one by one. Want all the permanent pages? Just call `list_static_pages`. It's simple, reliable data flow.

Site Audit and User Reporting

Run a full site audit using `list_site_users` to get an immediate report on every account registered on the WordPress instance. You can also list all associated blog posts via `list_blog_posts` for content volume metrics. This MCP Server makes it easy to track system changes without logging into a GUI.

Common questions about WordPress MCP in Claude Code

You build a shell script that calls `create_new_post` with the required title and body parameters. This lets you treat content publishing like any other cron job in your CI/CD pipeline.
Yes, run `list_blog_posts` and pipe the JSON output directly into a file. This is much cleaner than running manual queries through a dashboard interface.
Use `list_site_users`. The tool returns a list of all users and their basic metadata, which is ideal for security audits or generating README files detailing site roles.
It does. `list_static_pages` pulls the titles and URLs of all non-blog content, making it perfect for mapping out core marketing pages.
The server accesses system user accounts via `list_site_users`. This is sensitive account metadata. Always ensure your execution environment is locked down when running these commands.
