Connect WordPress MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect WordPress to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write Code to Manage WordPress Content
The `create_new_post` tool lets you draft a new blog article directly into your codebase. You don't just get the text; Cline writes the function call and handles the data structure for that new WordPress post. Need to clean up? Use `delete_post`. It executes the deletion, allowing you to stage commits with proof that old content is gone.
API Interactions via MCP Server
To pull data for a dashboard, call `get_post_details` first. Cline takes those raw details and lets you write components that display them instantly. It’s ideal for building custom WordPress reporting views. You can list all existing categories using `list_blog_categories` to populate dropdown menus in your new component.
Audit Site Structure with Cline
Build a script that inventories the site. The `list_static_pages` tool pulls every permanent page title and slug so you can map out user journeys. This is critical for complex WordPress deployments. If your code needs to know who has admin rights, use `list_site_users`. Cline handles this as a data source for your build process.
