Audit app connections

The `list_apps` tool shows all third-party applications connected to your account, like Slack or Gmail. Cline uses this data to ensure any code it generates for automation is compatible with the services you actually use.

Analyze Zap configurations

Running `get_zap` retrieves the complete configuration details for a single, specific automated workflow. You can feed these raw specs into your local component. This is key when Cline needs to build code that mimics or interacts with an existing Zap's logic.

Check automation status

Use `get_history` to pull the execution history of a given workflow. This data tells your coding agent if the previous attempts succeeded or failed. Cline uses this context—the actual runtime failures—to write better, more resilient code.

Common questions about Zapier MCP in Cline

You execute `search_templates` directly within your project context. Provide the query string, like 'Slack to Trello', and Cline handles the output so you can immediately use it.
Simply call `list_zaps`. This gives a full index of every automated workflow running on your account. It's the starting point for any task that needs to interact with those services.
Yes, you use `get_profile` to fetch user details. This data helps Cline scope its work, ensuring the code it writes respects your account boundaries and permissions.
Cline pulls operational data from the server—like `get_zap` configs or connection lists. This lets you write tested, production-ready code that knows exactly how your existing Zapier automations work under the hood.
The server handles account and configuration details. Specifically, it exposes `get_profile` data, which is sensitive user information you need to be aware of when coding.
