Key Capabilities
Chain document workflows with Cascade
Cascade reads your local data structures and triggers `generate_pdf` without manual intervention. It maps your JSON keys to template placeholders and kicks off the render job immediately. Once the request hits the API, the agent tracks the process using `check_pdf_status`. You don't have to wait or refresh; Cascade handles the polling loop until the file is ready.
Manage templates within Windsurf
Stop jumping to a web dashboard to verify your layout IDs. Use `list_templates` to pull your entire library into the IDE context so Cascade knows exactly which template to target for your next invoice or report. If a template needs a quick check, `get_template` returns the schema and metadata. You see exactly what the document expects before you send a single byte of data to the server.
Audit and clean up generated files
Keep your workspace tidy by using `list_generated_documents` to see what you've already produced. If a test document is cluttering your view, `delete_generated_pdf` wipes it from the system instantly. When you need to verify a specific file, `get_pdf_details` provides the direct download link. You can drop that URL straight into your terminal or browser to inspect the output without leaving your current Windsurf session.
