Connect Front MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect Front to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Access customer context in VS Code
The Front MCP server links your development environment to your company's shared inboxes. Copilot uses `list_shared_inboxes` and `list_conversations` to pull active technical support queues right into your editor. When a developer needs to understand a bug, Copilot runs `get_conversation_details` and `list_conversation_messages`. You see the exact sequence of events that led to the customer's problem.
Send updates via the MCP Server
Copilot interacts with your users through the `reply_to_conversation` tool. When your team merges a fix, the agent can message the customer directly to confirm the resolution. The agent verifies the communication path using `list_active_channels` before sending anything. You maintain control over the message content while eliminating the context switch between your IDE and your inbox.
Map your team's contacts
You pull directory data into your workspace using the `list_team_contacts` and `get_contact_info` tools. Copilot retrieves phone numbers, email addresses, and social handles for anyone in your database. This data feeds into your workflow when you need to escalate an issue. If an API endpoint is failing, the agent checks `get_api_status` and immediately finds the right internal contact to notify.
