Adjust Nest temperatures from Claude Desktop

This MCP Server uses `set_thermostat_cool` and `set_thermostat_heat` to let your Claude Desktop agent execute temperature commands instantly during your workspace sessions. The agent checks your Nest setup using `get_device` to verify the active mode. From there, it applies precise temperature targets or triggers `set_thermostat_eco` inside Claude Desktop when you tell it you are heading out.

View Nest camera streams inside Claude Desktop

Your Claude Desktop agent runs `generate_camera_stream` to fetch a live feed URL right inside your active conversation when someone rings your Nest doorbell. Once you confirm who is at the Nest door, the Claude Desktop agent calls `stop_camera_stream` to kill the temporary token. It keeps your feed secure by ensuring active video streams do not linger open on your local machine.

Query your Nest layout with this MCP Server

To map your entire Nest setup, this MCP Server triggers `list_structures` and `list_rooms` inside your Claude Desktop chat. By combining this structural map with `list_devices`, the Claude Desktop agent knows exactly which Nest thermostat controls the upstairs. You get direct control without memorizing long hardware ID strings.

Yes, the Claude Desktop agent calls `generate_camera_stream` to pull a live URL for Nest cameras. It displays the link directly in your Claude Desktop chat so you can check your Google Home feed.
The Claude Desktop client uses `list_rooms` and `list_devices` to understand your Google Home layout. It targets commands like `set_thermostat_range` to specific Nest zones.
