Manage database provisioning

Need a new isolated data source? Use `create_database` to provision a massively distributed Serverless SQLite. You just specify the required organization slug and target group, and it gets set up for you.

Audit existing libSQL databases

If you need a full audit trail, `list_databases` gives you an enumeration of every registered Edge Database. You can also get the specifics on any single instance by calling `get_database_details`. It's clean and direct.

Identify all organizational tenants

To scope your work, use `list_organizations` to identify every root tenant in Turso’s Edge SQLite system. This is useful when building enterprise agents that need visibility across multiple client accounts.

Setup guide

Set up Turso MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Turso tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Turso_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Turso tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Turso MCP in Google ADK

Use `create_database` to provision a new instance. The agent passes the organization slug, database name, and target group directly through the tool call. It's designed for reliable, automated workflows.
You use `list_database_tokens` to see all active execution JWT Tokens. If you suspect a token is compromised, run `rotate_database_tokens` immediately.
Yes. The MCP Server allows your agent to read database metadata and status via tools like `list_databases`. This ensures the foundational data is correct before Gemini processes it.
This server deals primarily with organizational slugs, database names, and connection tokens. Always treat the generated JWT Tokens as highly sensitive credentials within your enterprise environment.
The `get_database_details` tool lets you introspect exactly what architectural traits an existing libSQL instance has. It's the best way to verify existence without running a full query.
